Herbal tea is the simplest medicine there is, when you brew it properly. Pick your blend, set the timer, and let the plants do their quiet work.
A herbal tea lives or dies by how you make it. Four things worth knowing.
Use fresh, just-boiled water. Herbal teas are not delicate like green tea. Most of them want it properly hot to draw the goodness out.
Cover your cup while it steeps. This is the small mistake that stops a herbal tea working. Leave it open and the volatile oils, the part that carries the aroma and much of the medicine, simply drift off in the steam.
Give it longer than you think. A proper infusion needs real time to draw. Two minutes will not do it.
One heaped teaspoon of dried herb per cup is a gentle place to start. Go stronger if your body asks for it.
Stillness, Easy Belly and Deep Restore are blended by hand here at Bo-tanics, small batch and Reiki-infused. If you would like a cup made with real intention, come and find them.
